About Jessica
Jessica received her Juris Doctor from UNL College of Law in 2015 with a focus on criminal law and litigation and is a member of the Nebraska and Colorado Bar.
Jessica M. Landers (formerly Jessica M. Laughlin) opened her own law practice in October 2025. She has been practicing as a private attorney since February 2021. Before working as private counsel, Jessica was a Deputy County Attorney with the Scotts Bluff County Attorney’s Office, where she primarily worked the DUI and traffic docket consisting of both Felony and Misdemeanor Cases. Jessica was the lead prosecutor on over 60 trials during her time at the County Attorney’s Office.
Jessica specializes in Divorce and Family Litigation, and Criminal Defense. Jessica has experience in other areas of law, such as Estate Planning, Probate Cases, and General Civil Litigation. Jessica is a member of the Nebraska Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Scotts Bluff County Bar Association.
Before attending law school, Jessica worked as a police officer in rural Nebraska for seven years. This prior law enforcement experience provides a unique view of her approach to defense work and a real-world understanding while working with families navigating child custody and divorces.
