Jessica received her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2015, focusing on criminal law and litigation. She is admitted to the Nebraska and Colorado bars.
Jessica M. Landers, formerly Jessica M. Laughlin, opened her own law practice in October 2025. She has practiced as a private attorney since February 2021. Before entering private practice, she served as a Deputy County Attorney with the Scotts Bluff County Attorney's Office, where she primarily handled the DUI and traffic docket involving both felony and misdemeanor cases.
During her time at the County Attorney's Office, Jessica served as lead prosecutor on more than 60 trials. Her practice now specializes in divorce and family litigation and criminal defense. She also has experience in estate planning, probate cases, and general civil litigation.
Before attending law school, Jessica worked as a police officer in rural Nebraska for seven years. That prior law-enforcement experience gives her a distinctive perspective in defense work and practical insight when helping families navigate child-custody matters and divorces.
